Secret to Flawless Skin

Hi Everyone,

New Week, Great Energy!

Fall is gradually knocking the door....Best time to start taking care of our skin in preparation for the harsh cold weather coming ahead.

In today’s society, having a beautiful looking skin is of great importance, most especially for ladies. There are so many beauty products in stores with the promise of given everyone a beautiful and flawless skin, but most of us can testify that sometimes, these beauty products don’t work or may make the skin worse that it is. Regardless though, we still have to give credit to the beauty products that actually work… and yes, there are beauty products that do work. These beauty products that work are usually neither cheap nor affordable, at least for most people.

Also, for people like me who do not believe in using make-up to hide flaws and usually rock the natural look; It is very important to make sure my skin is always on point which is not the easiest thing to achieve. There are so many factors that usually affect how our skin looks; Basic factors such as cleanliness/ skin care routine, Beauty products being used, what we eat, stress level, Allergies, etc

With all these being said, it is quite beneficial that we start learning about the affordable little things we can do to improve the health of our skin and get the flawless skin we all desire.

So, what’s the secret to flawless skin? How do some people achieve and maintain a beautiful skin while others struggle with a scaly skin, acne, pimples, blackheads, and dry spots?

For some people, it’s genetic… but then, that is usually not the only reason; besides, the effects of genetics can be minimized. Some believe it because they are not using or haven’t found the right beauty products, creams, or cleansers for their skin... but that’s also usually not true.
Sometimes, all we need to do is go back to the basics of being healthy; you know eating the right things, exercising, getting enough rest, drinking lots of water, etc. Doing these things, most especially eating the right food helps maintain the complex balance of nutrients and hormones that feed the skin.

Here are some foods can that helps achieve the flawless skin everyone desires.

Beta-carotene foods such as carrots, sweet potatoes, red bell peppers, and red grapefruit
Beta-carotene foods contain tiny orange pigments called beta-carotene, and these pigments nestle into the skin, fill in blotches, and give a healthy glow. This can also help prevent premature aging from sun damage.

Monounsaturated-fat foods such as avocado, olive oil, almonds, and peanut butter

Monounsaturated-fat foods reduce the appearance of wrinkles and reduce the damages from exposure to too much sun. They also have the added bonus of vitamin B which helps to keep the skin looking vibrant and smooth.

Omega-3 foods such as salmon, sardines, walnuts, flaxseed

Omega-3 foods are ideal foods for many reasons. Omega-3 fatty acids are the essential fats that concentrate in the walls of the epidermal cells to help lock in moisture into the skin. It also fosters a faster recovery rate from exposure to ultraviolet light which keeps the skin from looking dry and helping it battle the dangers of excessive sunlight.

Isoflavone-rich foods such as beans, tofu, black beans, chickpeas, lentils, soybeans, peanuts

Isoflavone-rich foods contain huge amounts of isoflavones, antioxidants which protect the skin by smoothing out wrinkles.

Polyphone-rich foods such as grapes, grape juice, blueberries

Polyphone-rich foods contain antioxidants called polyphenols improves the skin’s elasticity by strengthening collagen, the primary protein in the skin’s innermost layer which help keep the skin from sagging. polyphenols also provides protection against heart attack and stroke.

And most importantly, We have to stay well Hydrated always… Drink lots of Water and more Water!!!

WATER!!!... And water-rich foods such as watermelon, peaches, celery

Okay, it’s not as fun to drink water as it is ti drink juice, wine, or alcohol but water is the strongest weapon you have against lifeless skin. Water keeps the skin well moisturized which is very essential to having a flawless skin. Water is vital to the entire body as all the body’s processes rely on hydration in some way, As such, you definitely should be sipping or better still drinking water throughout the day; else, you’re likely to have dry skin, slower metabolism, or indigestion in some situations.
According to studies, it takes half-liter (just a little over 18 ounce) of water to create a measurable increase in the capillary blood flow. Increasing the blood flow will definitely increase the rate at which all the blood-carried essential gets to the skin and to the rest of the body.

Take my word for it… Try drinking half-liter of water a few times a day and you’ll have a skin as healthy and flawless as that of a newborn in no time…lol!

Have a wonderful Day and Enjoy the rest of your week!

xoxo
